Resumo: This study describes and explains the degree of correlation between teacher motivation and job performance, analyzing the level of development of each of the variables. The objective was to determine the relationship between teacher motivation and their work performance in the Educational Institutions of the Pachiza locality. To do this, a survey was developed to assess the level of teacher motivation with 12 items and an observation sheet with 18 items to measure job performance; the non-experimental-transversal-correlational design and the Pearson coefficient were used with a sample of 20 teachers, selected in a non-probabilistic manner. The descriptive results indicate that 65% of teachers have a high motivation; the remaining 35% of teachers show medium motivation; however, 75% of teachers show acceptable job performance; 15% of teachers show poor job performance; and only the remaining 10% of teachers show good job performance. In the correlational analysis, a moderate and high positive association was obtained between these study variables. Indeed, the relationship between teacher motivation and their job performance in the Educational Institutions of the town of Pachiza, during the period 2021 is 0.81; that is, there is a high relationship with a positive direction; which means that teachers who have a good level of internal and external motivation are positively associated with their job performance, both at the level of their pedagogical and social functions.

El objetivo fue determinar la relación entre la motivación docente y su desempeño laboral en las Instituciones Educativas de la localidad de Pachiza. Para ello, se elaboró una encuesta para valorar el nivel de motivación docente con 12 ítems y una ficha de observación con 18 ítems para medir el desempeño laboral; se empleó el diseño no experimental-transversal-correlacional y el coeficiente de Pearson con una muestra de 20 docentes, seleccionados de manera no probabilística. Los resultados descriptivos indican que el 65% de los docentes tiene una motivación alta; el 35% restante de los docentes evidencian una motivación media; no obstante, el 75% de los docentes evidencian desempeño laboral aceptable; el 15% de los docentes evidencian un desempeño laboral deficiente; y solamente el 10% restante de los docentes evidencian un buen desempeño laboral. En el análisis correlacional, se obtuvo una asociación positiva moderada y alta entre dichas variables de estudio. En efecto, la relación entre la motivación docente y su desempeño laboral en las Instituciones Educativas de la localidad de Pachiza, durante el periodo 2021 es de 0,81; es decir, existe una relación alta con dirección positiva; lo cual significa, que los docentes que tienen un buen nivel de motivación interna y externa están asociados positivamente con su desempeño laboral, tanto a nivel de sus funciones pedagógicas y sociales.Este estudo descreve e explica o grau de correlação entre a motivação docente e o desempenho no trabalho, analisando o nível de desenvolvimento de cada uma das variáveis. O objetivo foi determinar a relação entre a motivação do professor e seu desempenho no trabalho nas Instituições Educacionais da localidade de Pachiza. Para isso, foi desenvolvida uma pesquisa para avaliar o nível de motivação do professor com 12 itens e uma ficha de observação com 18 itens para medir o desempenho no trabalho; o delineamento não experimental-transversal-correlacional e o coeficiente de Pearson foram utilizados com uma amostra de 20 professores, selecionados de forma não probabilística. Os resultados descritivos indicam que 65% dos professores apresentam alta motivação; os restantes 35% dos professores apresentam motivação média; no entanto, 75% dos professores apresentam desempenho profissional aceitável; 15% dos professores apresentam baixo desempenho no trabalho; e apenas os 10% restantes dos professores apresentam bom desempenho no trabalho. Na análise correlacional, obteve-se associação positiva moderada e alta entre essas variáveis ​​do estudo.
