How to help Laura buy a car: a Didactic Sequence for the Financial Education of students of High School

Resumo: Financial education seems to be a urgent need for many people around the world in order to solve problems related to the misuse of money. This article presents a cut of a master's research in Mathematics Education, of qualitative nature, whose objective was to unveil contributions of a didactic sequence for the Financial Education of first year students of the High School. The data were collected through records of the activities that composed the sequence, audio recordings and questionnaire. The analysis showed that the sequence, as it was organized, allowed students, among other things: Introduction to the universe of money to take positions on financial issues and Autonomy for making decisions and critical positions on financial matters of personal life, family and social.

Este artículo presenta un recorte de una investigación cualitativa de una maestría en Educación Matemática, cuyo objetivo era revelar las contribuciones de una secuencia didáctica a la Educación Financiera de los estudiantes de primer año de secundaria. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de registros de las actividades que componían la secuencia, grabaciones de audio y cuestionarios. El análisis mostró que la secuencia, como estaba organizada, permitía a los estudiantes, entre otras cosas: Introducción al universo del dinero para tomar posiciones en asuntos financieros y Autonomía para la toma de decisiones y posiciones críticas en asuntos financieros de la vida personal, familiar y social.Educar-se financeiramente parece ser necessidade premente de muitas pessoas ao redor do mundo a fim de resolver problemas relacionados ao mau uso do dinheiro. Este artigo apresenta o recorte de uma pesquisa de Mestrado em Educação Matemática, de cunho qualitativo, cujo objetivo foi desvelar contribuições de uma sequência didática para a Educação Financeira de alunos do primeiro ano do Ensino Médio. Assim, os dados foram coletados por meio do registro dessas atividades, de gravações em áudio e do questionário.
