Audiovisual heritage and memories of MG: the winding path to the creation of the Museum of Image and Sound of BH

Resumo: This investigation seeks to present the preservation, organization and resistance initiatives developed by the team of the Museum of Image and Sound of Belo Horizonte, whose conception started in 1992, though effectively it only inaugurated in 1995. The MIS BH, former Audiovisual Reference Center (CRAV), is the main cultural facility responsible for the care of audiovisual memory in the capital of Minas Gerais and in the state itself, but it also has another great mission ahead: to become better known to the general public. In this theoretical-reflexive path, we will embark on concepts such as audiovisual heritage, memory and cultural identity. Alternatives and strategies for the dissemination of the audiovisual collection will also be analyzed, based on the creation and use of its own YouTube channel and Facebook page.

En este camino teórico-reflexivo, nos adentraremos en conceptos como patrimonio audiovisual, memoria e identidad cultural. También se analizarán alternativas y estrategias para la difusión del acervo audiovisual, a partir de la creación y uso de su propio canal de YouTube y página de la Facebook.Esta investigação busca apresentar as ações de preservação, organização e resistência desenvolvidas pela equipe do atual Museu da Imagem e do Som de Belo Horizonte, idealizado a partir de 1992 e com efetiva inauguração em 1995. O MIS BH, antigo Centro de Referência do Audiovisual (CRAV), é o principal equipamento cultural responsável pelos cuidados com a memória audiovisual na capital mineira e no próprio estado, mas também possui outra grande missão pela frente: tornar-se mais conhecido do grande público. Neste caminho teórico-reflexivo, vamos enveredar por conceitos como patrimônio audiovisual, memória e identidade cultural.
