Monografia (Graduação) - Universidade Católica de Brasília, Taguatinga, 2008.https://repositorio.ucb.br:9443/jspui/handle/10869/4211DireitoA pesquisa versa sobre a redução da menoridade penal, observando-se o sistema legal no direito brasileiro, analisando para tanto suas definições, requisitos e previsão legal, principalmente, sob a égide do Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente (Lei nº. 8.069/90) que reafirmou uma nova fase de princípios de proteção ao público infanto-juvenil, reconhecendo a prioridade absoluta do atendimento as suas necessidades, imputando à família, à comunidade, à sociedade em geral e ao poder público a efetivação de direitos. Procurar-se-á, também, analisar a necessidade de prevenção e da aplicação de medidas socioeducativas aos menores infratores, bem como, a função social das leis menoristas e seus efeitos na redução da violência. Entretanto, é de extrema importância ressaltar que, de forma alguma, este trabalho elimina a necessidade de um estudo mais apurado e aprofundado do tema.The research is about the reduction of criminal majority, observing the legal system in Brazilian laws, analyzing its definitions, requirements and legal forecast, mainly, under the support of the Child and the Adolescent Statute (Law nº. 8.069/1990) that reaffirm a new moment of principles for protection of childrens and adolescents, recognizing the absolute priority of their needs, imputing to the family, the community, the society and the government the realization of their rights. It will also demonstrate the necessity of prevention and the application of social and educative actions to the minor infractors, as well, the social function of laws for children and adolescents and its effects in the reduction of violence.
