O objetivo geral é investigar o processo de interpretação de textos de alunos de 9º ano e os específicos são: identificar as principais dificuldades dos alunos na produção de sentido para um texto; compreender a relação dos alunos com o processo de leitura; contribuir para a superação destas dificuldades. O trabalho se justifica pela dificuldade que os discentes têm de ler e interpretar e isso é um desafio constante entre os docentes para tentar contribuir com um melhor desenvolvimento de textos escritos e da leitura. Para fundamentar a pesquisa, foram utilizados teóricos como Kato (1999), Koch (2003), Marcuschi (2008) e Kleiman (1999). A pesquisa de campo foi utilizada como base de estudo e análise dos impedimentos dos discentes para uma melhor interpretação de textos, e depois foi correlacionada com os estudos teóricos dos autores citados. Alguns resultados obtidos foram: má compreensão do texto, falta de diálogo com o que está sendo lido e falta de segurança perante a análise do que está sendo lido.The object of this work are the difficulties that students have in interpreting texts. The overall objective is investigate the process of interpreting texts students of 9th grade and specific are to identify the main difficulties of the students in the production of meaning in a text; understand the relationship of students with the reading process; contribute to overcoming these difficulties. The work is justified by the difficulty that students have to read and interpret, and it is a constant challenge among the staff to try to contribute a better development of written texts and reading. To ground the research, were used as theoretical Kato (1999), Koch (2003), Marcuschi (2008) and Kleiman (1999). The field research was use as the basis of study and analysis of the impediments of the students for a better interpretation of texts, and then correlated with the theoretical studies of the authors cited.
