Resumo: The aim of the study was to understand the devices of disciplinary power in blood donation practices, in the perception of candidates for donation who have already experienced the experience of being classified as unfit. The methodology adopted was a qualitative approach was developed, whose analysis was carried out through discourse analysis (AD). Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews, with 31 candidates for repeat donation. It is in the relationship established from the binomial power / knowledge that a perceived discomfort is structured in many moments of the research: the conflict between the desire to perform blood donation, motivated by several variables and discourses and the power of the norm with its protocols, do's and sentences. It was concluded that, the relationships between candidates and professionals assume a breadth and complexity that go beyond the formally established limits, showing tensions that emerge in the interviewees' speeches.
