Resumo: | Digital games are gaining more and more space in the educational environment. Besides to researching and analyzing these artifacts of digital culture, creation and design is a step forward for education. The purpose of this article is to present the development of a prototype of a digital game called “Combate Endemia” as a support strategy for Science classes. This is an educational digital game that is being produced at Engine Construct 2. As a justification, we take into account the history, incidence, and prevalence of the main endemic diseases present in the Brazilian context. The choice of endemics for the game was based on the following criteria: diseases endemic to the state of Alagoas, which are still public health problems for the state and which are within the contents worked in Science in Elementary Education. The endemic diseases selected to integrate the game were: schistosomiasis, dengue, zika and chikungunya. What is expected with the construction of the digital game, is that it can be an instrument to help students learn about the importance of good practices in Education and Health in combating endemics in a playful and motivating way in the early and final years of Elementary School. |
