Resumo: This paper presents the design and reflections about a didactic experience of elaborating an investigative workshop, conducted with High School students from a public school in the countryside of São Paulo state. The workshop “Investigations in Chemistry” aimed to provide experiences with experimentation, enable reflection on doing science and scientific action, encourage interpretation and writing, the construction of knowledge necessary to solve the problematic situation and argumentation, allowing the conceptual, attitudinal, procedural development and a critical formation of the students. Although with little research experience, students achieved the objectives and were actively involved in the processes throughout the activities. An important moment of the workshop was to give students a chance to students reflect on their own learning, as by listening to them it is also possible to set new goals and paths for daily school activities.

An important moment of the workshop was to give students a chance to students reflect on their own learning, as by listening to them it is also possible to set new goals and paths for daily school activities.Este trabalho apresenta o desenho e as respectivas reflexões a respeito de uma experiência didática de elaboração de uma oficina de caráter investigativo realizada com alunos das séries do ensino médio de uma escola pública no interior do estado de São Paulo. A oficina “Investigações em Química”, proposta e executada pelos próprios professores de Química, teve por objetivo proporcionar aos alunos vivências com a experimentação investigativa, o fazer e o agir científico e a argumentação, na busca pelo desenvolvimento conceitual, atitudinal, procedimental e uma formação crítica do aluno. Estruturada em três momentos, contou com a participação de dez alunos que desenvolveram suas atividades seguindo as etapas do método investigativo, da elaboração de hipóteses às considerações finais, para desvendar um crime.
