Resumo: The teaching of Genetics in high school often becomes somewhat abstract. Disregarding the series of probabilistic calculations made, some students face difficulties related to their degree of abstraction, because by not being located in conceptual terms, they can not correctly interpret the laws governing the Mendelian genetics. From this, his teaching seems to be reduced to a mechanical calculating without students understand the relationship between accounts running and the theory of biological foundation. Considering the interpretation of Mendel's laws as fundamental to understanding cases that involve and being content analysis methodology that allows us to interpret and analyze records, this article intends to make use of this tool by applying it to set out analysis these laws in biology textbooks. By analyzing textual fragments, it was noticed a regularity that leads us to a structural repeat basis of its composition, plus a few different elements and complementing them. This paper discusses how these small irregular features - that differentiate the text (and sense) common in the preparation of re-reading of these statements - can significantly contribute to learning related to the first law of Mendel.
