Study of statistical concepts in teacher education in the context of the covid-19 pandemic

Resumo: | Statistics became more evident in the year 2020 in the situation of the Covid-19 pandemic, with information presented in the media, using statistical tables and graphs. With this, it is possible to realize how much the statistical concepts are a necessary knowledge; however, its teaching is still a challenge. Thus, this article aims to analyze what is revealed in the responses of teachers and future teachers about the knowledge of statistical tables and graphs in tasks, in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Data were collected through video recording of the tasks performed during the course entitled Mathematics #ComVIDa, organized in three modules: the first worked on statistical concepts, the second presented the PPDAC investigative cycle and in the third teaching sequences were elaborated. The participants were Basic Education teaching staff and undergraduate students. The results revealed that teachers and future teachers still have difficulties in the construction of tables and graphs, not using title and source, as well as the construction of tables when requesting tables. We hope that the results will help in reflections for a possible change in teacher training courses on the teaching of statistical concepts. |

Con esto, es posible darse cuenta de cuánto se presentan los conceptos estadísticos como un conocimiento necesario, sin embargo, su enseñanza sigue siendo un desafío. Así, este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar lo que se revela en las respuestas de docentes y futuros docentes sobre el conocimiento de tablas y gráficos estadísticos en tareas, en contexto de la pandemia de COVID-19. Los datos fueron recolectados a través de grabación de video de tareas realizadas durante el curso titulado Matemáticas #ComVIDa, organizado en tres módulos: el primero trabajó sobre conceptos estadísticos, el segundo presentó el ciclo investigativo PPDAC y en el tercero se elaboró secuencias didácticas. Los participantes fueron aquellos de Educación Básica y estudiantes de pregrado. Los resultados revelaron que los docentes y futuros docentes aún tienen dificultades en la construcción de tablas y gráficos, sin incluir título y fuente, así como la construcción de tablas al momento de solicitar tablas. Esperamos que los resultados ayuden a reflexionar sobre un posible cambio en los cursos de formación docente sobre enseñanza de conceptos estadísticos.A Estatística tornou-se mais evidente no ano de 2020 na situação da Pandemia da Covid-19, com informações apresentadas nas mídias, usando tabelas e gráficos estatísticos. Com isso, é possível perceber o quanto os conceitos estatísticos se mostram um conhecimento necessário, entretanto, o seu ensino ainda é um desafio. Assim, este artigo objetiva analisar o que se revela nas respostas de professores e futuros professores sobre o conhecimento de tabelas e gráficos estatísticos em tarefas, no contexto da pandemia da COVID-19. Os dados foram coletados por meio de videogravação das tarefas realizadas durante o curso intitulado Matemática #ComVIDa, organizado em três módulos: o primeiro trabalhou os conceitos estatísticos, o segundo apresentou o ciclo investigativo PPDAC e no terceiro foram elaboradas sequências de ensino. Os participantes eram docentes da Educação Básica e estudantes da graduação. Os resultados revelaram que os professores e futuros professores ainda apresentam dificuldades na construção de tabelas e gráficos, não utilizando título e fonte, bem como a construção de quadros quando são solicitadas tabelas.
