Resumo: | This study aims to identify the process of educational innovation linked to the improvement of the teaching-learning framework in mathematics of students of the early years. To this end, we present the "Creativity Workshops in Mathematics", a project conceived and promoted by the PI Group - Research and Research in Mathematics Education, of the Mathematics Department of the University of Brasilia. The workshops were held in two classes in the 4th grade of elementary school in a public school in Brasília, consisting of an intervention in creativity in the field of mathematics, in which students were encouraged to solve mathematical problems. Among these, we analyzed the Workshop on Healthy and Conscious Consumption, in light of the innovation component present in the activity, in which students should elaborate and solve contextualized problems, focused on the consumption dynamics, allowing discussion on sustainability, ethical, conscious, responsible and healthy consumption. In this exploratory and observational research, we found that the classes used critical and creative thinking to solve mathematical problems during the activities related to the workshop. This made it possible to stimulate and maintain the interest of students in the area of knowledge in question, perceiving the centrality of discussions and identifying not only individual values, from significant mathematical proposals. |
