Eancyt project: theoretical and didactic foundations for the sts teaching-learning sequences

Resumo: The theoretical and practical foundations of the EANCYT research that address the educational problems of quality and effective teaching for STS issues are described. STS or nature of science and technology refer to questions about how science and technology validate their knowledge and how they work today in the world. The foundations are drawn from three areas: educational research on teaching the nature of science, design of teaching-learning sequences and learning theories. The convergence of the three areas in the development of concepts such as pedagogical content knowledge, the method of 7Es teaching cycle and the didactical structures provides the cues to conform a model of teaching-learning sequences for STS issues or nature of science and technology.

Los fundamentos se extraen de tres áreas: la investigación didáctica sobre la enseñanza de la naturaleza de la ciencia, la teoría acerca de las secuencias de enseñanza- aprendizaje y las teorías del aprendizaje.
