Resumo: | In this article, it's presented a qualitative research, in order to respond to the following problem: what are the types of errors more frequent in questions about area and perimeter of squares and rectangles, committed by students in EJA and PROEJA? For reaching the objective of the research, it was applied a test with 34 students and the main results were: absence of relationship of the concepts of area and perimeter with the context; unknowledge of the property of the squares in that all sides of the polygon have the same measure; confusion of mathematical operations involved in the calculations of area and perimeter; conceptual errors of the area and perimeter. |
