STS mathematical knowledge and performance: a relationship to be studied

Resumo: | The present study aims to present the first considerations relat ing to research on possible links between income, obtained by students in seventh and eighth grade of elementary school of the State School Dist rict Boa Esperança, in the town called Eldorado, in São Paulo stat e, and it s views STS (Science Technology and Society). To identify relationships between mathematics and the quest ions CTS to provide furt her educat ional strategies and interventions that allow the student a better understanding of these quest ions and the consequent improvement in academic performance in mathematics is about all that such research was necessary. In the f irst instance we present the init ial analysis of this work. We can also conclude that the logical math allows students a better interpretation and understanding of diverse content CTS and unlike, where both have very import ant for the development of learning and knowledge of the student. |

We can also conclude that the logical math allows students a better interpretation and understanding of diverse content CTS and unlike, where both have very import ant for the development of learning and knowledge of the student.O presente estudo busca apresentar as primeiras considerações referentes à pesquisa sobre possíveis relações existente entre os rendimentos matemáticos obtidos por alunos da oitava e sétima série do Ensino Fundamental da Escola Estadual Bairro Boa Esperança, na cidade de Eldorado, São Paulo e suas concepções CTS (Ciência, Tecnologia e Sociedade). Com objetivo de identificar relações entre a matemática e as questões CTS para posteriormente apresentar estratégias e intervenções didáticas que permitam ao aluno uma melhor compreensão destas questões e consequente melhora no seu rendimento escolar sobre tudo em matemática é que tal pesquisa se fez necessária. Neste primeiro momento apresentaremos as análises iniciais deste trabalho.
