Resumo: The COVID-19 pandemic imposed remote education as a strategy for resuming and continuing face-to-face classes. The objective was to understand the production of knowledge about emergency remote education in the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic in Brazil. A qualitative study was carried out based on the state-of-the-art methodology to map and discuss the bibliographic production about this theme settled on the SciElo portal 29 files were found, of which 16 were selected. It was evidenced that remote higher education in the health area received greater emphasis. The categories that emerged were intervening issues in higher education; vulnerabilities evidenced by emergency remote education; and potential of remote education. It is concluded that, given the challenges, efforts have been made to reduce the damage caused by the pandemic to the teaching-learning process through emergency remote education, but more investments are needed for this purpose and the promotion of digital inclusion.

EdUECE - Editora da Universidade Estadual do Ceará2021-03-30info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://revistas.uece.br/index.php/revpemo/article/view/527110.47149/pemo.v3i2.5271Educational Practices, Memories and Oralities; Vol. 3 No. 2 (2021): Práticas Educativas, Memórias e Oralidades; e325271Práticas Educativas, Memórias e Oralidades; Vol. 3 Núm. 2 (2021): Práticas Educativas, Memórias e Oralidades; e325271Práticas Educativas, Memórias e Oralidades - Rev.
