School management from theory to practice

Resumo: The objective is to discuss the practice of school management in current times, from the perspective of a professional who works in this professional field. The theoretical foundation of the research is supported by Krawczyk (1999), Warde (1992), Freire (1987), Bravo (2014) and among others. The methodological path proceeded through an interview with the coordinator of a public elementary school located in the city center of Horizonte-CE, metropolitan region of Fortaleza-CE; and the collected narratives were submitted to content analysis by Bardin (2006). The results showed that formal education environments are places that favor the perpetuation of the capitalist system, since in schools there is a predominance of hierarchy (director-coordinator-teacher-student) and all actions are governed from times and times already determined.

A fundamentação teórica da pesquisa respalda-se em Krawczyk (1999), Warde (1992), Freire (1987), Bravo (2014) e dentre outros. O caminho metodológico procedeu mediante entrevista realizada com a coordenadora de uma instituição pública de Ensino Fundamental localizada no Centro da cidade de Horizonte-CE, região metropolitana de Fortaleza-CE; e as narrativas coletadas foram submetidas à análise de conteúdo de Bardin (2006).
