Early childhood education in the challenging scenario of the Covid-19 pandemic

Resumo: The study describes the synthesis of interactions that complemented, in the family context in times of the covid-19 pandemic, the education and care of children enrolled in a children's class 4 at a school in the Municipal Education Network of Fortaleza. This is an experience report of the strategies developed by a teacher to maintain affective bonds during the months of March to December 2020. Qualitative research, based on national curriculum documents that expose and discuss the actions taken during the suspension of activities face-to-face, without the intention of replacing the role of Early Childhood Education or invading the domestic space. The main strategies used to keep from disappearing from the children's lives and to support the families were: exchanging information about the disease and social benefits, loaning books, recommending services and online programming, virtual meetings, phone calls, video calls and suggestions of stories and games.

Trata-se do relato de experiência das estratégias que desenvolvi para manter os vínculos afetivos durante os meses de março a dezembro de 2020. Pesquisa de caráter qualitativo, fundamentada em documentos curriculares nacionais que expõem e discutem as ações efetivadas durante a suspensão das atividades presenciais, sem a intenção de substituir o papel da Educação Infantil ou invadir o espaço doméstico.
