Resumo: The present study is a critical-reflective proposal that emerges from the need to see, at the heart of the educational process, a perspective that understands the researcher teacher as a principle of pedagogical practice, presupposing research as an emancipatory process of the subjects, an action that involves the performance of the teacher. teacher and unfolds in the education of the student. Its main theoretical support is the defenses of the educator and sociologist Pedro Demo, as well as the arguments of Paulo Freire when he admits that research is the basis for teaching and learning. It considers that when the teacher identifies himself as a researcher, he also understands himself as an agent of the libertarian-humanistic process of education, in the continuous movement of his reflection-action-reflection, and reaffirms the need to situate educational action as an important space for training of the individual in view of human autonomy.

Tem como principais suportes teóricos as defesas do educador e sociólogo Pedro Demo, assim como os argumentos de Paulo Freire quando admite que a investigação é a base para o ensinar e para o aprender.
