Didactic-pedagogical workshop with the film “The Wall” for teacher education in the context of Professional and Technological Education

Resumo: Professional and Technological Education (EPT) presupposes the integral formation of the individual, understood as that focused on the total development of the subject and that must permeate their abilities, productive forces, needs and meanings. In the school context, unlike “banking” education, in which only content transmission is prioritized, integral formation requires educators who promote dialogue and debate, leading students to critical-reflexive analysis. From such precepts we propose a didactic-pedagogical workshop, directed to teacher education and based on the film “The Wall” by director Alan Parker, and seeking to promote reflection, self-criticism and resignification of teaching practices. The workshop was applied to students of the Degree in Teaching Training for Basic Education of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP), campus Sertãozinho, the research method was the action-research, the data were collected from questionnaires and notes during the workshop, which were analyzed based on content analysis.

No contexto escolar, ao contrário da educação “bancária”, na qual se prioriza apenas a transmissão de conteúdos, a formação integral requer educadores que promovam o diálogo e o debate, levando os estudantes à análise crítico-reflexiva. A partir de tais preceitos, propomos uma oficina didático-pedagógica, direcionada para a formação de professores e baseada no filme “The Wall”, do diretor Alan Parker, e que procura promover a reflexão, a autocrítica e a ressignificação das práticas docentes.
