Resumo: | The present work provided the opportunity to research and improve knowledge about Educational Policy and Continuing Teacher Education, highlighting the origin and evolution of education and demonstrating the importance and benefits of Continuing Education Policies for teaching. We used a bibliographic research and an interview applied through an electronic form to the students of the Licentiate courses that will act in the future. Through the research carried out, it was found that most students aim to specialize in their areas of study, although in academic life they face many obstacles. Educator training can contribute to achieving better parameters of teaching quality and critical and intellectual development of students, given that the teacher is central to student learning and their training is linked to the quality of education. |

Utilizou-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica e de uma entrevista aplicada por meio de formulário eletrônico aos discentes dos cursos de Licenciatura que futuramente atuarão no meio. Mediante a pesquisa realizada foi constatado que grande parte dos discentes almejam se especializar em suas áreas de estudo, embora na vida acadêmica se deparem com muitos obstáculos.
