Motivation to Learn/Teach Music in Basic Education: state of the art between 2000 and 2021

Resumo: | In this article we present a mapping of academic production about the motivation to learn and/or teach music, more specifically in basic education. It is a general state of the art, on which the methodology consisted of researching national music journals, focusing on reading the titles, abstracts, and other textual genres presented in the chosen works. We established the period from 2001 to 2021 as a time frame. In these 20 years, a total of 17 works related to motivation were published, but only five focused on basic education. In the analyzed studies, it was noticed that motivation has been addressed both to understand it among students and teachers in the musical learning process, as well as to point out the relationship and relevant contributions attributed by teachers to students in this process. Finally, in this mapping, it was found that higher education is the main area sought by researchers for motivational studies. |

Trata-se de um estado do conhecimento, cuja metodologia constou de consultas em periódicos de música a nível nacional, onde a coleta foi feita como base na leitura dos títulos, resumos e os demais gêneros textuais dos trabalhos investigados. Estabelecemos como recorte temporal o período de 2001 a 2021. Nesses 20 anos foram publicados o total de 17 trabalhos relacionados a motivação, sendo que desse número, apenas 5 tiveram como foco a educação básica. Nos artigos analisados, percebeu-se que a motivação vem sendo abordada tanto a fim de compreendê-la entre alunos e professores no processo de aprendizagem musical, quanto em apontar a relação e as contribuições relevantes atribuídas pelos docentes aos alunos nesse processo.
