Children's literature in pedagogical practices: what do babies read?

Resumo: This article aims to reflect theoretically and in practice on children's literature in pedagogical actions at the day care center, considering the field of experience “Listening, speaking, thinking and imagination” and others, through the reflective looks of the pedagogical advisor and researched authors. This field presents learning and development objectives that include children's literature that dialogues with babies and contributes to their cognitive and affective development in a nursery class. The literary book, at first for babies, is a toy full of images, letters, scenes, narratives, which must be present in the educational spaces of the day care center. The reflections shared in this text discuss the importance of the experience of children's literature in the different contexts of the fields of experience, to enable children to have contact with different oral and written textual genres, which contribute to form reading children in their literary education in different environments of formation.

Esse campo apresenta objetivos de aprendizagens e desenvolvimento que contemplam a literatura infantil que dialoga com os bebês e contribui para o seu desenvolvimento cognitivo e afetivo numa turma de berçário. O livro literário, a princípio para os bebês, é um brinquedo cheio de imagens, letras, cenas, narrativas, que deve estar presente nos espaços formativos da creche.
