NURSERY TEACHING: MODULATION OF ADULT PRESENCE IN THE CONSTRUCTION OF BABIES AND YOUNG CHILDREN’S AUTONOMY

Resumo: This paper aims to discuss possibilities and limits of the construction of babies and young children’s autonomy in day care, from an institutional research that aims to understand teaching in the education of children from 0 to 3 years. The methodological bias is the research-training. In the dialogues produced in systematic meetings with teachers of babies and children from 1 to 2 years old in a university school, the theme of free movement, self-determination and the role of the teacher were recurrently presented. In this context, in the speeches, the oscillation between free movement signified as chaos or danger and the appreciation of the creative actions of babies and children was highlighted. Decentralized management, the modulation of less controlling actions by adults, and the observation as important to know how to do were some axes that emerged as the  discussions focus.

El sesgo metodológico es la investigación-formación. En los diálogos producidos en reuniones sistemáticas con maestros de bebés y niños de 1 a 2 años en una escuela universitaria, se presentó de manera recurrente el tema de la libre circulación, la autodeterminación y el papel del maestro. En este contexto, en las interlocuciones, se destacaron la oscilación entre el movimiento libre que se considera caos o peligro, y la apreciación de las acciones creativas de bebés y niños. El manejo descentralizado, la modulación de acciones menos controladoras por parte de adultos y la observación de cuán importante saber hacer fueron algunos de los ejes que surgieron como el foco de las discusiones.Este trabalho tem como objetivo discutir possibilidades e limites da construção da autonomia dos bebês e crianças pequenas na creche, a partir de uma pesquisa institucional que visa compreender a docência na educação das crianças de 0 a 3 anos. O viés metodológico é o da pesquisa-formação. Nos diálogos produzidos em encontros sistemáticos com professoras de bebês e crianças de 1 a 2 anos de uma escola universitária, apresentou-se, de forma recorrente, o tema do livre movimento, autodeterminação e o papel do professor. Neste contexto, nas interlocuções, destacaram-se a oscilação entre o livre movimento significado como caos ou perigo e a valorização das ações criativas dos bebês e das crianças.
