Y&AE and emergency remote teaching: a student's perspective

Resumo: This article aimed to reflect on Youth and Adult Education (Y&AE, or "EJA", in Brazilian Portuguese) in the context of emergency remote classes, during the Covid-19 pandemic, from the perspective of students in this modality. Therefore, we chose to do qualitative research, as it allows us to decipher phenomena related to educational reality more directly. Thus, starting from the speeches of three participants, we analyze how they have perceived the teaching of Y&AE in times of remote education. We are theoretically supported by: Freire (1996), among other authors, in addition to official documents. It was possible to understand that emergency remote teaching has not only led teachers to change their practices, but has also challenged students to relate to digital methodologies with discipline and determination to continue their studies, something that is still more delicate for Y&AE students, who have historically had to deal with countless difficulties to keep studying.

Para tanto, escolhemos a pesquisa qualitativa, já que a mesma nos permite decifrar os fenômenos relacionados à realidade educacional de forma mais direta. Assim, partindo das falas de três participantes, analisamos como estas têm percebido o ensino da EJA em tempos de ensino remoto. Apoiamo-nos teoricamente em: Freire (2001), dentre outros autores, além de documentos oficiais.
