Biographical patches of two women educators from Ceará in the 20th century

Resumo: The objective of the study with a qualitative approach and a biographical type is to get to know the life and formative and educational experiences of two teachers from Ceará, focusing on the differences and similarities that permeate their professional life trajectories. Data collection consisted of conducting structured interviews with the two focus teachers of the study, through Google Meet and Whatsapp, between May and June 2021. The trajectory of two women from poorly educated families in the interior of the state of Ceará, who migrated with their families to the capital of Ceará in search of better living conditions, reveals that in Fortaleza it became possible to achieve a differentiated educational trajectory and, later, enter teaching, one of the only accepted fields for women's professional activities. It is concluded that writing about the life of teachers enhances women's history and the history of education.

A coleta de dados consistiu na realização de entrevistas estruturadas com as duas professoras focos do estudo, mediante Google Meet e Whatsapp, entre os meses de maio e junho de 2021. A trajetória de duas mulheres provenientes de famílias pouco escolarizadas do interior do estado do Ceará, que migraram com as suas famílias para a capital cearense em busca de melhores condições de vida, revela que em Fortaleza tornou-se possível lograr de trajetória educativa diferenciada e, posteriormente, ingressar no magistério, um dos únicos campos aceitos para atuação profissional da mulher.
