Rural High Schools in Ceará: an overview

Resumo: This article presents results of a research financed by FUNCAP. It analyzed the service education offered to teachers of rural education schools in Ceará by the Department of Education and the Workers Movement without Land (MST), in order to understand how teachers synthesize this relationship. As an integral part of the results, this research analyzed a questionnaire submitted to the management of four schools. The objective was to glimpse the working conditions in the schools surveyed to relate to the data already collected. The result was a confirmation of the precariousness of the work and the disparity between that and the greatness and confidence of the school community in the education project that is being built. Working against bourgeois education, many challenges are posed to rural schools in Ceará.

Working against bourgeois education, many challenges are posed to rural schools in Ceará.Este artigo objetiva apresentar resultado de pesquisa financiada pela FUNCAP que analisou a formação continuada em serviço oferecida aos professores das escolas de educação do campo no Ceará pela Secretaria de Educação e pelo Movimento dos Trabalhadores sem Terra, com vistas a compreender como os professores sintetizam essa relação em saberes docentes. Como parte integrante dos resultados dessa pesquisa, explora-se aqui um questionário submetido à gestão de quatro escolas das cinco escolas de Ensino Médio do Campo em área de assentamento da reforma agrária mais antigas do estado. Objetivava-se vislumbrar as condições de trabalho nas escolas pesquisadas para relacionar com os dados já coletados. O resultado foi a confirmação da precariedade do trabalho e da disparidade disso com a grandeza e a confiança da comunidade escolar no projeto de educação que está sendo construído.
