Difficulties in the teaching view of the inclusion of Fundamental School I students with special needs in a municipal school in Fortaleza: a visão docente

Resumo: Children’s inclusion with disabilities in regular education is a topic that has generated discussions ranging from the perception of those involved in the process to macro issues, such as the very notion of inclusion. In this context, this work aimed to report the difficulties in the teaching view of Fundamental School students with disabilities in a Municipal School in Fortaleza. Data were collected from a questionnaire with objective questions with teachers from twelve classes of Fundamental School I. The results showed the presence of students with special needs in all analyzed classes. In addition, teachers argued that they felt insecure about choosing appropriate pedagogical practices due to insufficient academic training and lack of initial and continuing courses in the area of Inclusion Education. In general our results reinforce that an Inclusive Education that serves everyone will only occur when public policies are applied in schools.

Nesse contento, este trabalho objetivou relatar dificuldades na visão docente de alunos do Ensino Fundamental I com deficiências em uma Escola Municipal de Fortaleza. Os dados foram coletados a partir de um questionário com questões objetivas com docentes de doze turmas do Ensino Fundamental I. Os resultados mostraram a presença de alunos com necessidades especiais em todas as turmas analisadas. Além disto, os professores argumentaram sentir insegurança em escolher práticas pedagógicas adequadas devido à formação acadêmica insuficiente e falta de cursos de formação inicial e continuada na área da Educação Inclusiva.
