Resumo: In this article, it is discussed about the literary reader formation because we believe that forming a critical reader, in today's Latin American society, is a necessary condition for the cultivation of descolonial thinking. We understand that only a formation of this nature can lead individuals to decolonization of minds, identities and imaginary, territorialized by colonialism (FLECK, 2017). Therefore, in this article, we aim to analyze how the hybrid narratives of Brazilian children's and youth history and fiction about the colonial period can contribute to this process. For this purpose, we analyze Descobrindo o Brasil (2000), by Julita Scarano and Os estrangeiros (2012), by Marconi Leal. To achieve our intent, we were based in the studies of Mendonza Fillola (1994), Zucki (2015), Fleck (2017), Mignolo (2017), among others. From the analysis done, we understand the need of a teacher´s critical choice in relation to the readings indicated for the students, so that they can experience a decolonizing practice at school.

Entendemos que somente uma formação dessa natureza pode conduzir os sujeitos aos rumos da descolonização das mentes, das identidades e do imaginário, territorializados pelo colonialismo (FLECK, 2017). Diante disso, buscamos, neste artigo, analisar como as narrativas híbridas de história e ficção infantis e juvenis brasileiras sobre o período colonial podem contribuir nesse processo. Para isso, analisamos as obras Descobrindo o Brasil (2000), de Julita Scarano, e Os estrangeiros (2012), de Marconi Leal. Para alcançar o intento, utilizamo-nos dos estudos de Mendonza Fillola (1994), Zucki (2015), Fleck (2017), Mignolo (2017), entre outros.
