The undergraduate History Course at Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (UERN): institutionalization and first curricular structures (1967-1978)

Resumo: This article aims to analyze the creation and the first ten years of the undergraduate History course at the State University of Rio Grande do Norte (UERN), Mossoró campus (1967-1978). As historical sources, we work with the curricular structures, legislation internal to the said course and university, as well as MEC’s, teachers' point books and minutes book from the former Institute of Human Sciences (ICH). We interpret these sources by the references of curricular theories, which understand the organization of knowledge as socially situated, in time and space. Therefore, this allows us to understand the emergence of the History undergraduate course in the city in the midst of a series of initiatives that show the connection between a local political class and policies to promote culture, contributing to the history of the region's historiography and also to a methodological reflection on the field of history of higher education in history. Como fuentes, trabaja con las estructuras curriculares, legislación interna de dicho curso y universidad, así como del MEC, libros de notas y actas docentes del antiguo Instituto de Ciencias Humanas (ICH). Interpretamos estas fuentes a partir de las referencias de las teorías curriculares, que entienden la organización del conocimiento como socialmente situada, en el tiempo y el espacio. Por tanto, esto nos permite entender el surgimiento del curso de Historia en la ciudad en medio de una serie de iniciativas que muestran la conexión entre una clase política local y políticas de promoción de la cultura, contribuyendo a la historia de la historiografía de la región y también a una reflexión metodológica en el campo de la historia de la educación superior en la historia. Currículum.Este artigo se propõe a analisar a institucionalização e os dez primeiros anos do curso de História da Universidade do Estado do Rio Grande do Norte (UERN), campus Mossoró (1967-1978). Como fontes, trabalha com as estruturas curriculares, legislação interna ao referido curso e universidade, bem como do MEC, livros de pontos de professores e livro de atas do antigo Instituto de Ciências Humanas (ICH). Interpretamos essas fontes pelas referências das teorias curriculares, que compreendem a organização de saberes como socialmente situados, no tempo e no espaço. Sendo assim, isso nos permite compreender o surgimento do curso de História na cidade em meio a uma série de iniciativas que evidenciam a conexão entre uma classe política local e políticas de fomento à cultura, contribuindo para a história da historiografia da região e também para uma reflexão metodológica sobre o campo da história do ensino superior de História.
