Fieldwork and environmental awareness: importance and benefits of urban arborization

Resumo: | Fieldwork can enable a reunion between school and the world of life, promoting not only redefinition and contextualization of didactic contents worked in the classroom, but also sensitizing to other perspectives and reflections on the urban or rural landscape, in addition to providing opportunities initiation to scientific research in basic education. Given the above, the objective was to assess the importance of fieldwork with students from the 3rd grade of high school, in order to integrate scientific discussions on urbanization and urban planning. And, for this, we had the collaboration of students from the 3rd grade of high school, school year 2019, from Colégio Estadual do Campo de Castro Alves. It was found that in all the studied squares, urban afforestation positively influenced in the regulation of local temperature and relative humidity, creating a pleasant microenvironment for people who enjoy these spaces. Field practice, combining geographical and biological knowledge for Environmental Education, proved to be effective in promoting knowledge and acquirements about urban planning and environmental conservation in cities, in which it was possible to sensitize students about the importance of afforestation for thermal comfort and quality of life. |

Teniendo en cuenta lo anterior, el objetivo fue evaluar la importancia del trabajo de campo con estudiantes de 3° grado de secundaria, con el fin de integrar discusiones científicas sobre urbanización y planificación urbana. Y para ello contamos con la colaboración de alumnos de 3º de bachillerato, curso 2019, del Colégio Estadual do Campo de Castro Alves. Se encontró que en todas las plazas estudiadas, la forestación urbana influyó positivamente en la regulación de la temperatura local y la humedad relativa, creando un microambiente agradable para las personas que disfrutan de estos espacios. La práctica de campo, que combina el conocimiento geográfico y biológico para la educación ambiental, demostró ser eficaz en la promoción del conocimiento y el conocimiento sobre la planificación urbana y la conservación del medio ambiente en las ciudades, en las que fue posible sensibilizar a los estudiantes sobre la importancia de la forestación para el confort térmico y la calidad de vida.O trabalho de campo pode possibilitar o reencontro entre a escola e o mundo da vida, promovendo não apenas a ressignificação e contextualização dos conteúdos didáticos trabalhados em sala de aula, mas também sensibilizando para outros olhares e reflexões sobre a paisagem urbana ou rural, além de oportunizar a iniciação da investigação científica no ensino básico. Diante do exposto, objetivou-se avaliar a importância do trabalho de campo com alunos da 3ª série do Ensino Médio, a fim de integrar a discussões científicas sobre urbanização e planejamento urbano. Para isto contou-se com a colaboração de discentes da 3° série do ensino médio, ano letivo de 2019, do Colégio Estadual do Campo de Castro Alves. Constatou-se que, em todas as praças estudadas, a arborização urbana influenciou de maneira positiva na regulação da temperatura local e umidade relativa do ar, criando um microambiente agradável para as pessoas que desfrutam estes espaços.
