Resumo: Innumerous uprisings, revolts, revolutions and wars took place in the territorial formation of Brazil, demonstrating that Brazilian people fought and still fight against the injustices caused by a profoundly unequal territorial division, as a heritage from the colonial period. We seek to evince in this work one of such resistances which fought against the repression and submission of the country to foreign capital during the Military Dictatorship (1964-1985). We refer to the armed fight (1964-1972), foremost the urban guerrilla which took place in major urban centers. Therefore, our purpose is to understand what the urban guerrilla was, the reasons and strategies of this movement, and which were the socio-spatial unfoldment generated on urban space. We adopt a geographic approach, since the armed fight is a socio-spatial movement that left marks of struggle on urban space and considered the same space for the fight strategies use.

En este trabajo buscamos resaltar una de estas resistencias que luchó contra la represión y la sumisión del país al capital extranjero en la Dictadura Militar (1964-1985). Hablamos de la lucha armada (1964-1972), sobre todo de la guerrilla urbana ocurrida en los grandes núcleos urbanos. De esta forma, nuestro objetivo es entender lo que fue la guerrilla urbana, cuáles fueron los motivos y las estrategias de este movimiento y cuáles fueron los desdoblamientos socio-espaciales producidos en el espacio urbano. Buscamos en este trabajo traer un enfoque geográfico, una vez que la lucha armada es un movimiento socio-espacial que dejó marcas de lucha en el espacio urbano y consideró este espacio para el uso de las estrategias de lucha.Na formação territorial do Brasil, inúmeros levantes, revoltas, revoluções e guerras aconteceram, demonstrando que o povo brasileiro lutou e ainda luta contra as injustiças provocadas por uma divisão territorial profundamente desigual perpetuada no país, herança do Brasil Colônia. Nesse trabalho buscamos evidenciar uma dessas resistências que lutaram contra a repressão e a entrega do país ao capital estrangeiro na Ditadura Militar (1964-1985). Falamos da luta armada (1964-1972), sobretudo da guerrilha urbana ocorrida nos grandes centros urbanos. Dessa maneira, objetivamos entender o que foi a guerrilha urbana, quais foram os motivos e estratégias desse movimento e quais foram os desdobramentos socioespaciais ocasionados no espaço urbano.
