Resumo: | Objective: to analyze Information Anxiety in digital media from the perspective of undergraduate nursing students. Methodology: this is a qualitative study, conducted at a higher education institution in Paraíba, with 10 undergraduate nursing students. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and the empirical material was treated using Bardin's content analysis. Results: five classes emerged from the data analysis: 'Filtering information', 'Connecting with the world', 'Accessing social networks', 'Social networks invading the classroom' and 'Putting the cell phone on silent or off'. Conclusions: Information Anxiety was present in the academic environment of undergraduate nursing students, due to the high access to information and use of technological devices. Thus, the behaviors of concern with the reliability of information, loneliness, lack of self-control, self-regulation, need for connection to the virtual world, serendipity, compulsion and dependence on social networks, suffocation by the volume of information, need to keep up to date and search for information on the smartphone were evidenced. |

Metodología: se trata de un estudio de naturaleza cualitativa, realizado en una institución de enseñanza superior de Paraíba, con 10 universitarios del curso de Enfermería. Los datos se recopilaron mediante una entrevista semiestructurada y el material empírico se trató mediante el análisis de contenido de Bardin.Resultados: Del análisis de los datos se desprenden cinco clases: "Filtrando la información", "Conectando con el mundo", "Accediendo a las redes sociales", "Redes sociales invadiendo la sala de clase" y "Colocando el móvil en silencio o desligándose". Conclusiones: La Ansiedad Informativa estaba presente en el entorno académico de los estudiantes de enfermería de grado debido al alto acceso a la información y al uso de dispositivos tecnológicos. Así, se evidenciaron los siguientes comportamientos: preocupación por la fiabilidad de la información, soledad, falta de autocontrol, autorregulación, necesidad de conectar con el mundo virtual, serendipia, compulsión y dependencia de las redes sociales, asfixia por el volumen de información, necesidad de estar al día y búsqueda de información en el smartphone.Objetivo: analisar a Ansiedade de Informação em mídias digitais sob a ótica dos universitários de Enfermagem. Metodologia: trata-se de um estudo de natureza qualitativa, realizado em uma instituição de ensino superior da Paraíba, com 10 universitários do curso de Enfermagem. Os dados foram coletados por meio de entrevista semiestruturada e o material empírico foi tratado por meio da análise de conteúdo de Bardin. Resultados: emergiram a partir da análise dos dados cinco classes ‘Filtrando a informação’, ‘Conectando com o mundo’, ‘Acessando as redes sociais’, ‘Redes sociais invadindo a sala de aula’ e ‘Colocando o celular no silencioso ou desligando’. Conclusões: a Ansiedade de Informação se mostrou presente no meio acadêmico dos universitários de Enfermagem, em virtude do elevado acesso a informações e uso de aparatos tecnológicos.
