Resumo: Introduction: Anxiety is an emotional condition of physical and psychological discomfort, and has become a common disorder of university students. However, studies report that a good level of physical activity can reduce levels of anxiety. Objective: Analyze the correlation between the level of physical activity and the anxiety index of university students in the field of health, female and who are attending the last year of graduation at a certain higher education institution of Teresina-PI. Methodology: IPAQ, BAI and Sociodemographic questionnaires were applied, using forms applied by the Google forms platform, by 56 university students enrolled in the last year of the courses: Medicine, Nursing, Nutrition, Dentistry, Biomedicine, Physiotherapy and Physical Education. Results: According to the IPAQ, 63% of the sample were classified as active or very active, of these 69% had anxiety rates from minimal to light. Conclusion: with the results it wasn’t possible to verify that the high level of physical activity can cause lower levels of anxiety.

Sin embargo, estudios reportan que un buen nivel de actividad física puede reducir los niveles de ansiedad. Objetivo: Analizar la correlación entre el nivel de actividad física y el índice de ansiedad de universitarios del área de la salud, del sexo femenino y que cursan el último año de graduación en determinada institución de enseñanza superior de Teresina-PI. Metodología: Se aplicaron cuestionarios IPAQ, BAI y Sociodemográficos, mediante formularios aplicados por la plataforma Google Forms, a 56 estudiantes universitarios matriculados en el último año de las carreras: Medicina, Enfermería, Nutrición, Odontología, Biomedicina, Fisioterapia y Educación Física. Resultados: Según el IPAQ el 63% de la muestra se clasificó como activa o muy activa, de estos el 69% presentó índices de ansiedad de mínima a leve. Conclusión: con los resultados no fue posible verificar que el alto nivel de actividad física pueda causar niveles más bajos de ansiedad.Introdução: A ansiedade é uma condição emocional de desconforto físico e psíquico, e tem se tornado um transtorno comum em alunos universitários. Contudo, estudos relatam que um bom nível de atividade física pode reduzir os níveis de ansiedade. Objetivo: analisar a correlação entre nível de atividade física e o índice de ansiedade de universitários da área da saúde, do sexo feminino e que estejam cursando o último ano da graduação em uma determinada instituição de ensino superior de Teresina-PI. Metodologia: foram aplicados os questionários IPAQ, BAI e Sociodemográfico, por meio do de formulários aplicados pela plataforma Google forms, a 56 universitárias matriculadas no ultimo ano dos cursos: Medicina, Enfermagem, Nutrição, Odontologia, Biomedicina, Fisioterapia e Educação Física. Resultados: segundo o IPAQ, 63% da amostra foram classificadas como indivíduos ativos ou muito ativos, dos quais 69% apresentaram índices de ansiedade de mínimos a leves.
