CONCEPTS OF ENVIROMENTAL EDUCATION TEACHER EDUCATION CURRICULUM OF BIOLOGICAL SCIENCES

Resumo: Among several themes present in the Brazilian education curriculum, Environmental Education (EE) is focused in this article, as it is theme of profound relevance to contemporary society. The aim is to present results of research regarding the presence and conceptions that underlie initial teacher education syllabus. Supported by a theoretical framework of critical orientation on the understanding of these two themes, bibliographic and documental research was carried out. Then, two pedagogical projects of teacher education in Biological Sciences from public institutions in the State of Goiás were selected. Guided by historical-dialectical materialism, it was possible to see, in both documents, the concern to meet the requirements of national legislation, in addition to the broad mention of the adoption of a transversal and interdisciplinary approach to treat EE using project methodologies. However, there was also a lack of clarity regarding the understanding of how to implement such approaches, as well as an inclination towards instrumental design.

El objetivo de este artículo es presentar los resultados de una investigación sobre la presencia y concepciones que subyacen a los currículos de formación inicial docente. Con el apoyo de un marco teórico de orientación crítica sobre la comprensión de esto tema, se realizó una investigación bibliográfica y documental. Se seleccionaron dos proyectos pedagógicos para educación del profesorado en Ciencias Biológicas de instituciones públicas del Estado de Goiás. Guiados por el materialismo histórico-dialéctico, se pudo ver, en ambos documentos, la preocupación por atender las exigencias de la legislación nacional sobre los dos temas, además de la amplia mención a la adopción de un abordaje transversal e interdisciplinario para el tratamiento de la EA a través de proyectos. Sin embargo, también hubo falta de claridad en cuanto a la comprensión de cómo implementar dichos enfoques, así como una inclinación hacia el diseño instrumental.Dentre diversos temas presentes no currículo da educação brasileira, a Educação Ambiental (EA) é focalizada neste artigo devido ser tema de profunda relevância para sociedade contemporânea e obrigatória em todos os níveis educacionais. O objetivo é apresentar resultados de pesquisa a respeito da presença e das concepções de EA que fundamentam currículos de formação inicial de professores. Apoiados em referencial teórico de orientação crítica, foram desenvolvidas pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Foram selecionados dois projetos pedagógicos de cursos de licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas de instituições públicas do Estado de Goiás. Orientados pelo materialismo histórico-dialético, foi possível perceber, em ambos os documentos, a preocupação em atender as exigências das legislações nacionais, além da ampla citação de adoção de abordagem transversal e interdisciplinar para tratar EA por meio de projetos.
