EVALUATION OF THE INNOVATIVE MIDDLE EDUCATION PROGRAM -IMEP - IN TOCANTINS STATE.

Resumo: The Innovative High School Program - ProEMI, aims to provide technical and financial support to the Brazilian public high schools, aiming at the autonomy in the elaboration of their curricula, in an integrated, participative and innovative way, aiming to promote the improvement of the indexes., in this educational segment. A qualitative and quantitative approach was used, using document analysis and semi-structured interviews to collect data. ProEMI actions were evaluated at State School Frederico José Pedreira Neto, de Palmas, Tocantins. It was found the limitation of the exclusive use of QL to evaluate the program, because the indicators are important but insufficient. Thus, the QL was adapted with the inclusion of guidelines pointed by the school staff. There was a commitment from the school to streamline the curriculum and assist students in the development of core skills, but a deficit in the records that justifies the need for monitoring since implementation.

Se utilizó un enfoque cualitativo y cuantitativo, utilizando análisis de documentos y entrevistas semiestructuradas para recopilar datos. Las acciones de ProEMI se evaluaron en Frederico José Pedreira Neto, de Palmas, Tocantins. Se encontró la limitación del uso exclusivo de QL para evaluar el programa, porque los indicadores son importantes pero insuficientes. Por lo tanto, el QL se adaptó con la inclusión de pautas señaladas por el personal escolar. Hubo un compromiso de la escuela para racionalizar el plan de estudios y ayudar a los estudiantes en el desarrollo de habilidades básicas, pero un déficit en los registros que justifica la necesidad de monitoreo desde la implementación.O Programa Ensino Médio Inovador – ProEMI, tem como finalidade oferecer apoio técnico e financeiro para as escolas públicas brasileiras de Ensino Médio, visando a autonomia na elaboração de seus currículos, de forma integrada, participativa e inovadora, visando promover a melhoria dos índices, neste segmento educacional. Foi empregada abordagem qualiquantitativa, com uso de análise documental e entrevistas semiestruturadas para a coleta de dados, foram avaliadas as ações do ProEMI na Escola Estadual Frederico José Pedreira Neto de Palmas, Tocantins. Ficou constatada a limitação do uso exclusivo do QL para avaliar o programa, pois os indicadores são importantes, mas insuficientes. Assim, o QL foi adaptado com a inclusão de diretrizes apontadas pela equipe da escola.
