The teaching of reading in the first grade of elementary school

Resumo: This study is related to the nine-year education and analyzes pedagogical practices and the treatment of reading lessons in the first grade of elementary school. Therefore, the following objective was proposed: to analyze reading activities used by two literacy teachers who worked in the first grade of elementary school aiming to understand how these texts can contribute to the formation of a critical reader. The survey was conducted in two schools located in the southern state of Minas Gerais and the methodology used included the observation of classrooms, interviews with the participating teachers and also the development of a diary. Our work is based on a concept of reading as a social practice and understanding of literacy based on the ideological model that admits the existence of literacy practices that are determined by the social and cultural context of the subjects. The results showed an excessive concern with the teaching of letters and their sounds, which leads us to observe the primacy of the writing technology teaching in the school context.

Ante ello, fue propuesto el siguiente objetivo: analizar las actividades de lectura que son utilizadas por dos maestras alfabetizadoras, que actuaban en aulas de primer año de la enseñanza primaria, a fin de comprender cómo estos textos pueden contribuir para la formación de un lector crítico. La investigación fue realizada en dos escuelas públicas ubicadas al sur de Minas Gerais -Brasil- y la metodología utilizada contempló la observación de las clases, acompañada de entrevista con las maestras participantes de la investigación y también la elaboración de un diario de campo. Nuestro trabajo está basado en un concepto de lectura en cuanto a la práctica social y la comprensión de la alfabetización fundamentada en el modelo ideológico que admite la existencia de prácticas de alfabetización, que son determinadas por el contexto social y cultural de los sujetos. Los resultados señalaron que hay una preocupación excesiva con la enseñanza de las letras y sus sonidos, lo que nos lleva a observar la primacía de la enseñanza de la tecnología de la escritura en el contexto escolar. .  Este estudo está relacionado ao ensino de nove anos e envolve a análise das práticas pedagógicas e o tratamento das atividades de leitura em salas de primeiro ano do ensino fundamental. Diante disso, foi proposto o seguinte objetivo: analisar as atividades de leitura que são utilizadas por duas professoras alfabetizadoras, que atuavam em salas de primeiro ano do ensino fundamental, com o intuito de compreender como esses textos podem contribuir para a formação de um leitor crítico. A pesquisa foi realizada em duas escolas públicas situadas no sul de Minas Gerais e a metodologia utilizada contemplou a observação de salas de aula, acompanhada de entrevista com as professoras participantes da pesquisa e também a elaboração de um diário de campo. Nosso trabalho está pautado em um conceito de leitura enquanto prática social e a compreensão do letramento fundamentado no modelo ideológico que admite a existência de práticas de letramento que são determinadas pelo contexto social e cultural dos sujeitos.
