Resumo: | In this research the historical context of the Graphic Expression disciplines present in the curriculum of the Mathematics course of the Federal University of Paraná (UFPR) from 1974 to 2006 (year of the last curricular reform) is discussed. The purpose is to indicate the possible cause for the almost no development of concepts in this area, which in Basic Education encompasses, above all, Geometry in the Mathematics discipline. For this, we seek information in official documents, direct work with students, teachers and public schools of basic education, verifying that the study of Graphic Expression has been subtracted, causing a gap in the formation of the future teacher who should develop such topics with his future students, indicating a possible cause for the (dis)appearance of the work of concepts in Basic Education contributing to the curricular fragmentation. |

La finalidad es indicar la posible causa para el bajo desarrollo de conceptos de esta área, que en la Educación Básica engloba, sobre todo, a Geometría en la asignatura de Matemáticas. Para ello, buscamos informaciones en documentos oficiales, trabajo directo con alumnos, profesores y escuelas públicas de educación básica, verificando que el estudio de la Expresión Gráfica fue sustraído, ocasionando laguna en la formación del futuro profesor, que deberá desarrollar tales temas con sus futuros alumnos, indicando una posible causa para el (des)aparecimiento del trabajo de los conceptos en la Educación Básica, contribuyendo para la fragmentación curricular. Nesta pesquisa é abordado o contexto histórico das disciplinas de Expressão Gráfica, presente no currículo do curso de Matemática da Universidade Federal do Paraná (UFPR) no período de1974 a2006 (ano da última reforma curricular). A finalidade é indicar a possível causa para o quase não desenvolvimento de conceitos dessa área, que na Educação Básica engloba, sobretudo, a Geometria na disciplina de Matemática.
