Myths and potencilities of interdisciplinarity: reflections about an emerging topic

Resumo: | Interdisciplinarity can be considered a complex and fertile field of knowledge under construction. Despite being an issue that has been discussed and problematized more than five decades ago, its present, requires a permanent epistemological vigilance for the exploration of all forms of its critical and creative potential. The present essay has as its axis the analysis of the myths, as well as of the potentialities of interdisciplinarity, in the conceptual / theoretical plan and in the research and teaching practices. The reflection is based on the following question: what are the main myths present in the discourses concerning interdisciplinarity and what potentialities can be produced from your understanding? For that, through a theoretical analysis, it began with a reconstruction of the polysemy of the idea of interdisciplinarity, and of the myths present in the recurrent discourses that function as epistemological obstacles, which are: need to end the disciplines, everything can be studied in an interdisciplinary way, the meeting of experts characterizes the interdisciplinarity, qualified research is only interdisciplinary and there is a real interdisciplinarity; to later point out the critical-creative potential of interdisciplinarity, which consists in its vigilant opening to new ways of thinking and doing interdisciplinarity, provoking ruptures, continuities and innovations methodological and epistemological. |

A pesar de ser un tema que viene siendo discutido y problematizado hace más de cinco décadas, su actualidad requiere una permanente vigilancia epistemológica para la exploración de todas las formas de su potencial crítico y creativo. El presente ensayo, tiene como eje el análisis de los mitos, así como de las potencialidades de la interdisciplinaridad, en el plan conceptual/teórico y en las prácticas de investigación y enseñanza. La reflexión, tiene como hilo conductor la pregunta: ¿cuáles son los principales mitos presentes en los discursos referentes a la interdisciplinaridad y, qué potencialidades pueden ser producidas a partir de su comprensión? Para ello, a través de un análisis teórico, iniciamos con una reconstrucción de la ‘polisemia’ de la idea de interdisciplinaridad y de los mitos presentes en los discursos recurrentes que funcionan como obstáculos epistemológicos, que son: necesidad de acabar con las disciplinas, todo puede ser estudiado de forma interdisciplinaria, la reunión de especialistas caracteriza la interdisciplinaridad, la investigación calificada es sólo la interdisciplinar y existe una verdadera interdisciplinaridad; para posteriormente apuntar el potencial crítico-creativo de la interdisciplinaridad que consiste en su apertura vigilante a los nuevos modos de pensar y trabajar interdisciplinariedad, provocando rupturas, continuidades e innovaciones metodológicas y epistemológicas.A interdisciplinaridade pode ser considerada um complexo e potente campo de conhecimento em construção. Apesar de ser um tema debatido e problematizado há mais de cinco décadas, sua atualidade requer uma permanente vigilância epistemológica para explorar de todas as formas seu potencial crítico e criativo. Esse ensaio tem por escopo analisar os mitos e as potencialidades da interdisciplinaridade no plano conceitual/teórico e nas práticas de pesquisa e ensino. A reflexão tem como fio condutor a pergunta: quais são os principais mitos presentes nos discursos a respeito da interdisciplinaridade e que potencialidades podem ser produzidas a partir da sua compreensão? Para tanto, por meio de uma análise teórica, inicia-se reconstruindo a ‘polissemia’ da ideia de interdisciplinaridade e os mitos presentes nos discursos recorrentes que funcionam como obstáculos epistemológicos, que são: é necessário acabar com as disciplinas, tudo pode ser estudado de forma interdisciplinar, a reunião de especialistas caracteriza a interdisciplinaridade, pesquisa qualificada é somente a interdisciplinar e existe uma verdadeira interdisciplinaridade.
