Resumo: | This study aimed to analyze what obstacles LGBTQIA+ people face when entering and remaining in the labor market. This is characterized as a descriptive and qualitative study, in which data was collected through interviews with gay, lesbian and bisexual people, according to a semi-structured script. The data were analyzed using content analysis. It was possible to verify that LGBTQIA+ people face several types of obstacles and violations of their fundamental rights when entering and remaining in the job market. The great influence of heteronormativity in work relationships, the latent stigmatization of these minorities by conservative and religious discourses and discrimination by colleagues, superiors and members of the LGBTQIA+ movement itself are highlighted. Practical contributions refer to providing managers with insights into diversity practices in order to elucidate issues related to heteronormativity rooted in work contexts. And, by addressing diversity and heteronormativity, the study contributes to furthering discussions of gender within the organizational studies literature. |

And, by addressing diversity and heteronormativity, the study contributes to furthering discussions of gender within the organizational studies literature. Universidade Estadual De Maringá2023-03-27info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/ActaSciHumanSocSci/article/view/6550310.4025/actascihumansoc.v44i2.65503Acta Scientiarum.
