Resumo: | The last few years have been marked by a huge expansion in higher education in Brazil. The need for new professionals to act as faculty at this level of education makes it very important that topics such as the psychology of learning and teaching methodology be included in the traditional curriculum of future professors. To that effect, the professor must act in a critical and conscientious manner, showing the student the need to value previous knowledge and the verbalization of new mental constructions within an interactive socio-constructivist perspective. The main objectives of this work are to ponder the formation of new professors and to contribute to a broader discussion of this important issue in regards to the methodologies employed and their psychopedagogical implications. |

The main objectives of this work are to ponder the formation of new professors and to contribute to a broader discussion of this important issue in regards to the methodologies employed and their psychopedagogical implications.Os últimos anos têm sido marcados por uma expansão de grandes proporções no ensino superior. Com isso, cada vez mais se faz necessária a introdução de conteúdos das áreas de Psicologia da Educação e Metodologia do Ensino na formação de todos aqueles que um dia podem vir a se tornar professores. Para tanto, o docente deve atuar de modo crítico e consciente, e mostrar ao aluno a necessidade de valorizar os conhecimentos prévios e a verbalização das novas construções mentais dentro da perspectiva sócio-construtivista interacionista.
