Resumo: This study tried to analyze the pattern of the fundamental movement gait as subsidy for the understanding of the acquisition of the motor abilities in the childhood. The number of subjects of the study was constituted by 41 children between 3 and 8 years of age from private network of teaching. The instruments used in the research were the total body configuration approach and the cinemetry. The results demonstrated that: most of the children showed developed stage of walking; space-time variables indicated typical behavior in function normalized speed with positive accentuations for the self-selected speed, stride length, step cadence and step length; and negative for stride time. It is concluded that there is a tendency of the development motor levels when related to the normalized speed, children that presented values above 0.40 were found in the mature stage.

Department of Physical Education - State University of Maringá (UEM), Maringá-PR, Brazil2010-03-27info:eu-repo/semantics/articleinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersionDescreptive StudyEstudo transversalapplication/pdfhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/7389Journal of Physical Education; Vol 21 No 1 (2010); 37-46Journal of Physical Education; Vol. 21 Núm. 1 (2010); 37-46Journal of Physical Education; v. 21 n. 1 (2010); 37-462448-2455reponame:Journal of Physical Education (Maringá)instname:Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)instacron:UEMporhttps://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/article/view/7389/5705Deprá, Pedro PauloVieira, Lenamar FioreseChinaglia, Marcella Piresinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccess2023-01-10T15:37:49Zoai:periodicos.uem.br/ojs:article/7389Revistahttp://periodicos.uem.br/ojs/index.php/RevEducFis/indexPUBhttps://old.scielo.br/oai/scielo-oai.php||revdef@uem.br2448-24552448-2455opendoar:2023-01-10T15:37:49Journal of Physical Education (Maringá) - Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM)false
