Regardless of the teaching options of the teacher, we must consider that we are experiencing a moment of paradigm shift in Portuguese language teaching. Today, it is necessary for the teacher to observe the students' global development in relation to their language skills, we must increasingly seek a teaching that guarantees a quality immersion in the world of literate practices. Therefore, the present dissertation aims to develop reading and writing comprehension so that students can write authorial texts. To this end, we have outlined some specific goals such as developing the practice of listening in the classroom, reading and understanding song lyrics, recognizing human feelings and apprehensions in song lyrics, and finally identifying the characteristics of personal and personal accountability. it in the classroom according to the characteristics studied. We base our research on Marcuschi (2008) which deals with textual genres, their purpose in the social context; Bakhtin (1997) who emphasizes the interactionist point of view of language; Antunes (2009), which addresses intertextuality and its importance in the construction of the reading / writing process of the text. We also base, in the guidelines of BNCC BRASIL (2017), which guides the formulation of curricula, systems and school networks of the states, the Federal District and the Municipalities, as well as the pedagogical proposals of the school institutions. Overall, the development of the research allowed us to conclude that students' performance in the textual production of a personal story from the lyrics improved considerably.
