Resumo: Paulo Freire elaborated a distinct work, in which he defended multiple knowledge: scientific, technological, technical, popular, humanitarian. Freire is an endless intelectual who focuses on understanding social problems. His works are mostly considered for his contributions to adult education and, more specifically, to popular education. However, in his works there are also reflections on children and their infancies. Thus, this is a theoretical essay whose objective is to discuss and critically reflect on Freire’s concerns with infant education. These analyses state that Freire’s assumptions can be recreated in the contexts related to infant education, announcing other possibilities in relation to practices carried out with children, as well as the conceptions of infancies. Freire es un intelectual sin fin que se concentró en comprender los problemas sociales. Sus obras son consideradas, mayoritariamente, por sus contribuciones a la educación de personas adultas y, más específicamente, a la educación popular. Sin embargo, en sus obras también existen reflexiones sobre los niños y sus infancias. Siendo así,  este es un ensayo teórico cuyo objetivo es discutir y reflexionar críticamente sobre las preocupaciones de Freire por la educación de las infancias. Estos análisis permiten afirmar que los supuestos freireanos pueden ser recreados en los contextos relativos a la educación de las infancias, anunciando otras posibilidades en relación a las prácticas realizadas con los niños, así como las concepciones de las infancias. Freire é um intelectual infindo que se concentrou em compreender os problemas sociais. Suas obras são consideradas, majoritariamente, pelas suas contribuições à educação de pessoas adultas e, mais especificamente, à educação popular. Todavia, em suas obras, também existem reflexões acerca das crianças e suas infâncias. Assim sendo, este é um ensaio teórico cujo objetivo é discutir e refletir criticamente sobre as preocupações de Freire com a educação das infâncias. Essas análises permitem afirmar que os pressupostos freirianos podem ser recriados nos contextos relativos à educação das infâncias, anunciando outras possibilidades em relação às práticas realizadas com as crianças bem como às concepções das infâncias.
