Undergraduate theses: trends of studies related to Special Education in a Pedagogy course

Resumo: This paper analyzes the tendencies of the undergraduate theses related to Special Education, presented by senior students of the Pedagogy Course of the Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa, Ponta Grossa, Paraná, Brazil. The research was carried out based on assumptions of studies of the state of knowledge type. The study revealed that the qualitative and exploratory approach is the most used in the works. It indicated that questionnaires and interviews are the most common data collection instruments among the senior students. It also revealed that the largest number of researches is focused on hearing impairment, thus there are gaps in relation to the development of research in other areas, such as: physical disability, high skills/giftedness, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Assistive Technology.   Keywords: Special education. Research.Este artículo analiza las tendencias de los Trabajos Finales Académicos (Trabajos de Conclusión de Curso - TCC) relacionados con la Educación Especial, presentados por los egresados del curso de Pedagogía de la Universidad Estadual de Ponta Grossa. La investigación fue realizada en base al análisis sistemático y la valoración del conocimiento de producciones investigativas, esto es, según el Estado del Conocimiento en torno a un campo de investigación definido. El estudio reveló que tanto el abordaje cualitativo como el exploratorio, fueron los más utilizados en dichos trabajos finales. Indicó también que el cuestionario y la entrevista son los instrumentos de recolección de datos más comúnmente utilizados por todos los egresados. Reveló además que, el mayor número de investigaciones se encuentran volcadas a la deficiencia auditiva, siendo que existen vacíos en relación a académicos que busquen profundizar el desarrollo de investigaciones en otras áreas de conocimiento, tales como: la deficiencia física, las altas habilidades/superdotación, el Trastorno del Espectro del Autismo (TEA), las Tecnologías para la educación y el empoderamiento de las personas con discapacidad.    Palabras-clave: Educación Especial. Investigación.Este artigo analisa as tendências dos Trabalhos de Conclusão de Curso relacionados à Educação Especial, apresentados por concluintes do Curso de Pedagogia da Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa, Ponta Grossa, Paraná. A pesquisa foi realizada a partir de pressupostos de estudos do tipo estado do conhecimento. O estudo revelou que a abordagem qualitativa e exploratória é a mais utilizada nos trabalhos. Indicou que questionários e entrevistas são os instrumentos de coleta de dados mais comuns entre os concluintes. Revelou, ainda, que o maior número de pesquisas é voltado à deficiência auditiva, havendo, assim, lacunas em relação ao desenvolvimento de pesquisas em outras áreas, tais como: a da deficiência física, a das altas habilidades/superdotação, a do Transtorno do Espectro do Autismo, a da Tecnologia Assistiva.   Palavras-chave: Educação Especial.
