Resumo: This text is characterized as a theoretical essay that exposes the historical trajectory of history didactics at Germany, focusing its paradigmatic turn on the sixties and seventies. From a pragmatic and external to historical studies discipline, the history didactics developes to a reflexive perspective about society and historical knowledge, playing an analytical role over the very science of history, acting as a resource of self-awareness at this field. Finally, describes the actual configuration of history didactics as from its new objectives, main issues and future perspectives. Keywords: History teaching. History theory. Historical consciousness.

Historical consciousness.Este texto caracteriza-se como um ensaio teórico que expõe a trajetória histórica da didática da história na Alemanha, enfocando sua virada paradigmática nos anos 60 e 70. De uma disciplina pragmática e externa aos estudos históricos, a didática da história evoluirá para uma perspectiva reflexiva sobre a sociedade e o conhecimento histórico, desempenhando um papel analítico sobre a própria ciência da história, agindo como um recurso de autoconsciência desse campo. Por fim, descreve-se a configuração atual da didática da história a partir de seus novos objetos, questões principais e perspectivas futuras.   Palavras-chave: Ensino de história. Teoria da história.
