“Who is ready for this?”… Reflections on teacher education for homosexualities

Resumo: Using a question asked by a student in a training course about sexualities, this paper aims to problematize this training process, which together with gender and sexuality constructions provoke us to think the individuals’ constitution processes. In order to do so, the methodology employed was observation and analyses of the authors’ experience in three courses for teachers. The discourse produced in such contexts was brought to the text. Such issues favor the authors’ contact with post-structuralism and Foucault studies, whose focus is on discourses and practices which constitute the subject and on power relations. As the main result, the paper points to the need to count on “detachment of the self” which involves training in investment on questioning rather than on answers and “truths”.   Keywords: Teacher education. Subjects.Partiendo de las condiciones de emergencia de la interrogante de una estudiante de un curso de formación en sexualidades, el artículo tiene como objetivo problematizar esa formación que, asociada a las construcciones de género y sexualidad, nos invita a pensar los procesos de constitución de los sujetos. Para eso, tomó como procedimientos metodológicos las observaciones y análisis de las experiencias de los autores en tres cursos para docentes, aportando al texto discursos aprendidos en esos contextos. Esas problemáticas acercan los autores a los estudios postestructuralistas y foucaultianos, cuyo foco recae sobre los discursos y prácticas que constituyen los sujetos y sobre las relaciones de poder. Como resultado principal, el artículo indica la necesidad de apostar en el “desprendimiento de si” que involucra la formación en su inversión en la interrogación, en el cuestionamiento más que en las respuestas y “verdades”.   Palabras claves: Formación docente. Partindo das condições de emergência da pergunta de uma aluna de um curso de formação em sexualidades, o artigo tem como objetivo problematizar essa formação que, associada às construções de gênero e sexualidade, convida-nos a pensar os processos de constituição dos sujeitos. Para isso, tomou como procedimentos metodológicos as observações e análises das experiências dos autores em três cursos para docentes, trazendo para o texto, falas apreendidas nesses contextos. Essas problemáticas aproximam os autores dos estudos pós-estruturalistas e foucaultianos, cujo foco recai sobre os discursos e práticas que constituem os sujeitos e sobre as relações de poder. Como resultado principal, o artigo aponta a necessidade de apostar no “desprendimento de si” que envolve a formação no seu investimento na interrogação, no questionamento mais do que nas respostas e “verdades”.   Palavras-chaves: Formação docente.
