Who changes the diaper and who tells the story? Pedagogical practices with children aged zero to three

Resumo: This article deals with pedagogical practices of teachers of children aged zero to three years, focusing on care and education actions in the context of daycare. It presents the results of an investigation, completed in 2022, whose problem was to identify which pedagogical practices are developed by teachers of children aged zero to three years in the day-care routine? We sought to identify how and by whom the different and varied activities experienced by children in this age group are developed in a Municipal Early Childhood Education Center (CEI). The methodology consisted of participant observation of the practices developed with children in a public daycare center, located in the city of Campinas/SP, making descriptive records in a field diary, for eight months. At the end, we highlight the clear distinction of tasks between professionals (teachers and monitors) when carrying out activities and which, in our view, also affect children's learning and development differently. We consider that this distinction causes harm to the quality of adult/child interactions, as the intentionality of each professional's action is based on different knowledge and educational purposes. Furthermore, the distinction between professionals' activities can discourage the search for professional improvement, called monitors in this context, who interact with children on a daily basis as much as teachers do.

Presenta los resultados de una investigación, finalizada en 2022, cuyo problema fue identificar qué prácticas pedagógicas desarrollan los maestros de niños de cero a tres años en la rutina de la guardería. Se buscó identificar cómo y quiénes se desarrollan las diferentes y variadas actividades que viven los niños de este grupo de edad en un Centro Municipal de Educación Infantil (CEI). La metodología consistió en la observación participante de las prácticas desarrolladas con niños en una guardería pública, ubicada en la ciudad de Campinas/SP, realizando registros descriptivos en un diario de campo, durante ocho meses. Al final destacamos la clara distinción de tareas entre profesionales (profesores y monitores) a la hora de realizar las actividades y que, a nuestro juicio, también afectan de forma diferente al aprendizaje y desarrollo de los niños. Consideramos que esta distinción perjudica la calidad de las interacciones adulto/niño, ya que la intencionalidad de la acción de cada profesional se basa en conocimientos y propósitos educativos diferentes. Además, la distinción entre actividades de los profesionales puede desalentar la búsqueda de superación profesional, llamados en este contexto monitores, que interactúan diariamente con los niños tanto como lo hacen los profesores.Este artigo trata de práticas pedagógicas de professores de crianças de zero a três anos enfocando as ações de cuidado e educação no contexto da creche. Apresenta resultados de uma investigação, concluída em 2022, cujo problema situou-se em identificar quais práticas pedagógicas são desenvolvidas por professores de crianças de zero a três anos no cotidiano da creche? Buscou-se identificar como e por quem são desenvolvidas as diferentes e variadas atividades vivenciadas pelas crianças dessa faixa etária em um Centro Municipal de Educação Infantil (CEI). A metodologia constituiu-se da realização de observação participante das práticas desenvolvidas com as crianças em uma creche pública, situada no município de Campinas/SP, fazendo registros descritivos em diário de campo, durante oito meses. Evidenciamos ao final a clara distinção de tarefas entre os profissionais (professoras e monitoras) na realização das atividades e que, ao nosso ver, afetam também de forma diferenciada a aprendizagem e o desenvolvimento infantis. Consideramos que essa distinção acarreta prejuízos à qualidade das interações adulto/criança, pois a intencionalidade da ação de cada profissional pauta-se em diferentes conhecimentos e propósitos educativos.
