Nova Escola magazine as cultural artifact: possibilities for sexuality and gender approaches

Resumo: In this article we propose to analyze the articles on themes related to sexuality published in the Nova Escola magazine, in the years 2018 and 2019, understanding the research object as a cultural artifact. This is a bibliographic research, using thematic content analysis for the articles’ analysis. Asses ten articles that were the material found in magazines on the researched themes and it can be affirmed that the themes of sexual education, gender and sexuality present themselves in a significant. We come across articles that present a variety of subjects related to the study, however, we observation that the reports follow characteristics of cultural artifacts:  brief texts, various  images, notes in the form of "prescriptions", transmitting the false conception that changes occur in a simplistic way apart from reflections and criticality.

Se trata de una investigación bibliográfica, utilizando el Análisis de Contenido Temático para el análisis de los reportajes. Evaluamos diez reportajes acerca temas encontrados em la revista sobre investigación de temas y podemos decir que los temas de educación sexual, género y sexualidades son significativos. Los artículos presentan una variedad de temas relacionados con el estudio, sin embargo, notamos que los informes siguen las características de los artefactos culturales: textos sucintos, muchas imágenes, notas en forma de "prescripciones", transmitiendo la falsa concepción de que los cambios ocurren de manera simplista, al margen de las reflexiones y de la criticidad.  Nesse artigo propomos analisar as reportagens sobre temáticas correlatas à sexualidade, publicadas na revista Nova Escola, nos anos de 2018 e 2019, compreendendo o objeto de pesquisa enquanto artefato cultural. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter bibliográfico, utilizando para a análise das reportagens a Análise de Conteúdo Temática. Avaliamos dez reportagens que foi o material encontrado nas revistas sobre a temática pesquisada e podemos afirmar que as temáticas educação sexual, gênero e sexualidades são significativas.
