Training in Child and Youth Mental Health: building knowledge with Multifunctional Resource Room teachers

Resumo: | The diversity that is present in the school context and the preparation of teachers to deal with such demands has been the subject of several studies on the field. In this sense, this report aims to present a proposal for continuing education on child and youth mental health carried out with teachers from multifunctional resource rooms linked to the public teaching network of two municipalities in the State of São Paulo, Brazil, which was developed from the prior identification of demands of teachers on the subject. The training was organized through in person and distance activities that totaled 30 hours, and addressed: mental health, child and youth mental health and psychological distress; risk and protective factors; school as a place of life and learning; action strategies at school; child and youth care network. It is concluded that offering tools so that teachers can deal with everyday demands can contribute to the advancement of school inclusion of children and adolescents in psychological distress. |

La diversidad que se hace presente en el contexto escolar y en la preparación de docentes para lidiar con tales demandas ha sido tema de diversos estudios sobre el campo. En ese sentido, este informe tiene como objetivo presentar una propuesta de educación continua sobre salud mental infanto-juvenil realizada con docentes de clases de recursos multifuncionales vinculadas a la red pública de enseñanza de dos municipios del Estado de São Paulo, que fue desarrollada a partir de previa identificación de demandas de los docentes sobre el tema. La capacitación fue organizada por medio de actividades presenciales y a distancia que totalizaron 30 horas, y abordó: salud mental, salud mental infanto-juvenil y sufrimiento psíquico; factores de riesgo y de protección; escuela como lugar de vida y aprendizaje; estrategias de actuación en la escuela; la red de cuidados de la infancia y adolescencia. Se concluye que ofrecer herramientas para que los docentes puedan lidiar con las demandas cotidianas pueden contribuir al avance de la inclusión escolar de niños y adolescentes en sufrimiento psíquico.A diversidade que se faz presente no contexto escolar e o preparo de professores para lidar com tais demandas têm sido tema de diversos estudos sobre o campo. Nesse sentido, este relato objetiva apresentar uma proposta de formação continuada sobre saúde mental infantojuvenil realizada com professores de salas de recursos multifuncionais vinculados à rede pública de ensino de dois municípios do Estado de São Paulo, a qual foi desenvolvida a partir de prévia identificação de demandas de professores sobre o tema. A formação foi organizada por meio de atividades presenciais e a distância, que totalizaram 30 horas, e abordou sobre: saúde mental, saúde mental infantojuvenil e sofrimento psíquico; fatores de risco e de proteção; escola como lugar de vida e aprendizado; estratégias de atuação na escola; rede de cuidados da infância e adolescência.
