Reflective writing by future pedagogues: is there room for epistemological debate about Pedagogy?

Resumo: This study, of qualitative approach, aims to investigate what is the place of the epistemological debate about Pedagogy inside the program itself, through the analysis of reflective texts produced by final-year students of a public University of Bahia. The locus of the research was a Teacher Training Center, in the scope of the curricular component Practice in Teaching of Pedagogical Subjects. The theoretical framework is centered on Franco (2008), Libâneo (2010), Pimenta (2011) and Moreira and Pinto (2021).  We used Content Analysis (Amado, 2017) to treat the data, which resulted in the highlighting of three categories: a) discredit of the profession; b) surprise regarding the Pedagogue's areas of action; c) Pedagogy as a field of knowledge. t was possible to unveil that the proposals for Pedagogues training seem to be restricted to teaching, which demonstrates a curricular fragility. Moreover, the results pointed outl that is urgente and necessary to dialogue about the epistemological statute of Pedagogy.

Moreover, the results pointed outl that is urgente and necessary to dialogue about the epistemological statute of Pedagogy.Este estudio, de enfoque cualitativo, tiene como objetivo investigar cuál es el lugar del debate epistemológico sobre la Pedagogía dentro del propio programa, a través del análisis de los textos reflexivos producidos por los estudiantes de último año de una Universidad pública de Bahía. El locus de la investigación fue un Centro de Formación de Profesores, en el ámbito de la materia Práctica en la Enseñanza de Materias Pedagógicas. La contribución teórica se centra en Franco (2008), Libâneo (2010), Pimenta (2011) y Moreira y Pinto (2021).  Se utilizó el Análisis de Contenido (Amado, 2017) para el tratamiento de los datos, lo que dio como resultado el destaque de tres categorías: a) desprestigio de la profesión; b) sorpresa sobre las áreas de actuación del Pedagogo; c) la Pedagogía como campo de conocimiento. Se pudo develar que las propuestas de formación de Pedagogos parecen restringidas a enseñar, lo que demuestra una fragilidad curricular. Además, los resultados señalan la necesidad y la urgencia de dialogar sobre el estatuto epistemológico de la Pedagogía.Este estudo, de abordagem qualitativa, tem como objetivo investigar qual o lugar do debate epistemológico sobre a Pedagogia dentro do próprio curso, por meio da análise de textos reflexivos produzidos por estudantes concluintes de uma universidade pública da Bahia. O lócus da pesquisa foi um Centro de Formação de Professores, no âmbito do componente curricular Prática na Docência de Matérias Pedagógicas. O aporte teórico está centrado em Franco (2008), Libâneo (2010), Pimenta (2011), além de Moreira e Pinto (2021).  Recorreu-se à Análise de Conteúdo (Amado, 2017) para o tratamento dos dados, os quais resultaram no destaque de três categorias: a) desprestígio da profissão; b) surpresa quanto às áreas de atuação do pedagogo; c) Pedagogia como campo de conhecimento. Foi possível desvelar que as propostas de formação de pedagogos parecem restritas ao ensino, o que demonstra uma fragilidade curricular.
